E4 President and Founder, Dr. David Perlman, who also is a senior lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, was today awarded a $10,000 educational grant to further refine and implement interactive teaching technologies and strategies into his undergraduate nursing ethics class. Below please find the actual grant application and the award notice. As part of the project, E4 will receive a small license fee for use the teaching technology and strategy. Collaborating with Dr. Perlman on this particular project are philosophers Jeff Buechner from Rutgers University, Newark and Kenneth Richman, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. These two experts will produce video podcasts of their method for teaching critical thinking in ethics for the project. These resources will be made available to the public on iTunes University. The three collaborators will be demonstrating a version of the live use of critical thinking and braching-logic ethics cases at the upcoming American Society for Bioethics and Humanities meeting in October 2010 in San Diego, California.
